Daesung was the third picked member of Big Bang. When the trainers
& reps were asked what members they wanted in the group, they ALL
unanimously chose Daesung. [BB documentary]
- He continued his dream of being a singer even against his families wishes.

During his freshman year he got 85 points, which was his best in high
school. In 8th grade he was obsessed with games so he barely studied
and his scores dropped to 62 points.
- A present from a fan that
touched him was a journal full of writings. At the end there's dull
pencil stuck to the back cover. It's a pencil that was completely new
when they first started the journal but after using it, it became short
and dull.

Young Bae's grandfather shown in his docu episode, passed away Sept.
16, 2006 (the day after the showcase) of a car accident. His
grandfather who always wanted to see YB on tv, passed away before that
could happen and since then, YB works and performs for the glory of his
grandfather.

The first time he realized what Hip Hop was when he was young and
