SOOMPI Fan Club Guidelines

SOOMPI Fan Club Guidelines

1)Please SEARCH » to make sure there isn't a similar fan club first! It's cool if we have a fan club for "Se7en Fans in Australia" and "Se7en Fans in California", but we don't want to end up with four different "Official Se7en Fan Clubs." If you are a HARD CORE fan or a Fan Club that has already been started and you want to contribute to Fan Club site, PM the Fan Club creator and ask to be an admin or moderator for the Fan Club. That will give you access to contribute to the Fan Club.
2)We will be rolling out some cute "Official SOOMPI!" badges soon to place on our "official" fan clubs. Once we have this feature ready, this is how it will work: First, you make your fan club, then you will be able to apply for an "Official SOOMPI!" badge. Once we receive your request, we will check your fan site to make sure it isn't spam (-_-) and that it is sufficiently different from the other existing fan clubs (again, so we don't have 4 different "Official Se7en Fan Clubs"). And tada! "Official SOOMPI!"
3)If you make a fan club, please take the time to fill out as much of the info as possible - everyone wants great fan clubs with lots of good info, pictures, videos, etc!
4)No mean, evil, rude stuff please! Let's all get along ^^;

Getting Started

Here are some video tutorials on how to start your new SOOMPI Fan Club:

Tutorial - Create SOOMPI Fan Club »
The SOOMPI Fan Clubs is what you guys have wanted for a while now, so here it is!

Tutorial - Add SOOMPI Fan Club Subpage »
To make things as flexible as possible for the SOOMPI Fan Club creators, we have made it easy for you to create separate pages related to your SOOMPI Fan Club. They can be about anything you think the people will want to know about in your SOOMPI Fan Club.

Tutorial - Upload a YouTube video To The SOOMPI Video Gallery »
This feature was inspired by all you DRAMA-HEADS out there. There are so many great extra videos for all the K-dramas out there on YouTube, such as NG's, behind the scene interviews, and even eps of some of the dramas. This will allow you to add a video to a SOOMPI Fan Club.
For artist/band Fan Club, it's a great way to post all their music videos to their respective fan clubs (not to mention interviews and TV shows about them).

Tutorial - Add An Uploaded YouTube Video To A SOOMPI Fan Club »
Everyone knows YouTube is an awesome site, but sometimes there's just too much stuff to search through. We've integrated with YouTube so that SOOMPI can have it's own set of videos taken straight from YouTube. That way the videos you see on SOOMPI will be more relevant and also have it's own unique set of comments/posts about them. As you will see, these videos will also be part of the SOOMPI Fan Clubs.

Tutorial - Upload An Image To The SOOMPI Gallery »
The SOOMPI Image Galleries are SO BACK! For those of you long-long-loooong time SOOMPI goers, you'll remember we had image galleries back in the day. The problem was, they were difficult to maintain. Now, we have given you guys the ability to upload the images you want! They can be pix of celebs or even pix from your summer vacation. These images can be added to any SOOMPI Fan Clubs that are out there.

Tutorial - Add An Uploaded Image To A SOOMPI Fan Club »
The SOOMPI Fan Clubs will be a collection of many things, images being one of them. This feature allows members to add images to a relevant SOOMPI Fan Club.

Other Stuff

When creating SOOMPI Fan Clubs, and other various types of content on the new site, the form will often ask to upload a Main Image and a Thumbnail Image for the post. This is so that when we display lists of content it's easier to read the titles when there's a thumbnail picture next to it - IT'S PRETTY!

It may seem tedious, but in the long run, when we have TONS of articles, SOOMPI Fan Clubs, reviews, etc... it'll be a lot more easier to read and look more consistent and professional.

For those of you who don't use or have Photoshop, here's an awesome web-tool to alter images:

      http://www.picnik.com/

The 2 best things about it is that it's FREE, and it's pretty AWESOME! I'm actually using it instead of Photoshop these days to make simple image changes, like creating these thumbnails.
