마리아(장진영)는 버스운행 독점권을 따내기 위해 애를 쓰고 빚독촉에 시달리던 해리(송일국)는 카지노바에서 룰렛게임을 하며 근근히 살아간다. 마이클은 해리에게 빚을 갚지 않으면 카렌을 데리고 가겠다고 협박한다. 군납로비를 위해 파티장을 찾은 제임스(허준호)는 마담채(김미숙)에게 제퍼드하원의원을 소개한다. 파티장에서 에바(유선)에게 시선을 뺏긴 태혁(한재석)은 제임스가 다가와 아버지 근황을 묻자 아버지를 본 지 오래되었다고 말하며 웃는다. 바에게 다가간 태혁은 고교때 대통령상을 받지 않았냐고 묻고 에바는 태혁도 해군에 근무한다는 사실을 듣자 친밀감을 느낀다. 마이클을 부른 마담채는 독점운행권을 마리아에게 뺏길 수 없다며 깔끔하게 처리하라고 지시한다. 해리를 찾아간 마이클은 눈에 가시 같은 존재만 없애 준다면 빚을 탕감해 주겠다고 제안하는데...

Maria (Jang Jin-Yeong) tries hard to win exclusive rights to operate the bus service, and Harry (Song Il-Guk) who is deeply in debt barely makes it by playing roulette games in casino bars. Michael (Kim Jun-Seong) threatens Harry if he doesn't pay back his debt they will take Karen away. At the party for military service lobbyists, James (Hur Jun-Ho) introduces Madam Chae (Kim Mi-Sook) to a congressman. During the party, Tae-Hyeok (Han Jae-Seok) sets his gaze on Eva (Yoo Seon), when James goes to him and asks him about his father's condition, to which Tae-Hyeok smiles as he replies it's been a long time since he last saw his father. Tae-Hyeok goes to Eva and asks her if she is the one who received a presidential award during highschool, and Eva feels close to Tae-Hyeok when she learns Tae-Hyeok also works in the navy. Madam Chae calls Michael and tells him they can't get their monopoly stolen by Maria, and instructs him to take care of the situation. Michael finds Harry and tells him if he gets rid of a eye thorn for him then he will write off his debt.
