CHO’s career in film began in 1997 as assistant to director KIM Sung-soo

in BEAT. His involvement in a series of large-scaled action pieces such as

and PHANTOM: THE SUBMARINE has prepared him well to envision and

to oversee this action-packed fantasy film as a first time filmmaker. Inspired

by the Chinese ghost tale about ‘a warrior that wandered into a haunted

village,’ the self-proclaimed ‘fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror film buff’ challenges

the ideas of memory after death, the dilemmas of Karma, and the

difficulties of mixing genres in THE RESTLESS which he was written

the screenplay as well.
