i've head of this drama from my friend in myspace yvonne..
so i think i'll try to find a copy.
i've never watch a japanese drama before..
if i get a copy of this, this will be the first japanese drama i'll ever watch..
i wonder how it differs to other asian dramas?

I hate watching sad movies/dramas and movies about diseases and I didn't wanna watch this drama, but when I finally did decide to give it a try, I couldn't stop watching until I was done with the whole drama. I didn't start crying until the 3rd episode but after that it was constant crying, smiling, and laughing along with the characters. I didn't think that I was gonna cry because I usually don't cry watching anything unless it's really really really sad. But this drama got me bawling.

Aya is such a strong girl, if I was her, I would've wanna crawl in a hole and die because I wouldn't want anyone to see me slowly not be able to do the things that I used to do. Overall, I really like this drama and recommend it to everyone even if you hate sad movies, you'll like this one.

Nah... i think they're just releasing the original 1 Litre of Tears in HK with a canto OST...

I'm in Japan now, but what I'm afraid of is that the Indonesian version will reach my home country first before this Japanese version and that will even more if they think a great story like this comes from Indonesia! I don't want that to happen, ever!

Hello all!

I just started this truly touching drama couple of days ago and i absolutely adore this touching drama. I was captivated by the acting from everyone in the drama. My tears started to flow at the very first miute as soon as the drama started like a running water tap! Especially when Aya's health deteriotes by each episode and so does my tears. What made it worst is the fact that it is based on a true story. A real breath taking and life altering drama for me. To be brutally honest i dont think i will be able to be as beautiful and couragous as Aya.

The actress who played Aya did a great job.

Hmm just a question, does anybody know what happened to Haruto? Did he die at the end of the series?

up to our imagination, i was thinking he went on with his life and became a doctor in neurological studies and try to find a cure for aya's disease...

^ Oh yeah, that's true. He is a fictional character anyway since I heard that the real Aya's mom requested to have her find love in the story.

i love that song..the melody just brings more sadness n prepares the mood for the whole drama...

i just started to watch this drama and am up to episode 6 T.T
its an awesome drama that made me shed tears from the beginning of the first episode. it has its funny moments, exp. with the Aya's father and its extreme sadness with the condition that Aya had to go through.

this drama taught me that life is valuable and it should not be wasted.

I read a couple of pages back and I heard that there's a remake of this drama. Does anyone know where I can find the remake or the cast? I just want to compare the jdrama to the indonesian drama. Although, I have to say.. remakes can't compare with the original one.

yup! this drama is really great... when i started watching it, my brother was saying 'hey i've seen this before, my friend bought the diary.. it's called the diary of tears, right?' then i started asking him how he knew of it because when it come to dramas and all, i beat my brother to it. i mean i know of and i've watched every drama that he's going to watch. so i'll say to him, ' ha.. i watch that a long time ago' and so on. so basically, this drama is a must watch.

I found the book in Kinokuniya but it's is in Chinese only. There were two versions: One is by the mother and the other is by Aya herself. I bought the Aya version for SGD$18.90 with 20% off. I have started reading slowly though it is in traditional chinese. Lucky I can read traditional chinese...
