Each Member of Girls’ Generation Only Sings for 15 Seconds?!

TaeTiSeo guested on yesterday’s episode of KBS JOY “Lee Sora’s Second Proposal,” where Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun shared various stories regarding Girls’ Generation. During the show, MC Lee Sora asked, “Isn’t it difficult to sing just amongst the three of you after always having to divide a song among nine members?” Taeyeon humorously replied, “This is the first time I’ve had to worry about my throat since my debut. All the singing strained my throat that my voice started to hoarse.

Tiffany stated, “I always wished that my part would increase. As a result, I’m very grateful and enjoying every moment singing.” She added, “When we sing as a group of nine, we sing about 15 seconds each. But now, we sing 1 minute and 15 seconds each.”

More members also mean less camera time. As such, Taeyeon explained, “We focus a lot on movements. We need to be able to leave an impression in such a short period of time. For example, an attention-grabbing hand gesture.” Tiffany continued, “We work really hard during that 15 seconds.”
