Infinite’s L Acting Debut in Japan this July
Infinite’s L is making his acting debut in a Japanese upcoming drama “Jiu MPD Special Criminal Investigation Department”; he will be playing the mysterious role of Jiu alongside Japanese actresses Kuroki Meisa and Tabe Mikako.
Based on a detective fiction “Jiu” written by Honda Tetsuya, the story takes place within a special criminal investigation department. L will be playing the crucial role- Jiu, a mysterious blond haired criminal with no sense of pain, chased by two very different female detectives.
L made his comment on the role, “Jiu is mysterious. Perhaps he’s a bit like me?”
When asking about his thought on debuting as an actor in Japanese drama, he said, “When I first learned the role, I was worried if I’m able to pull it off. After talking to the director, I decided to take the challenge and will work my best to interpret the character of Jiu. I used to think singing and acting are different, yet now I realize they both deliver emotion and touch people’s heart, and it motivates me to work harder.”
Regarding to his role, L commented, “From what I feel, Jiu has a really dark and lonely heart, which turns him into a mysterious person. He and I have something in common, yet something totally different at the same time.”
Meanwhile, L expressed his thought about the two actresses he works with, Kuroki Meisa and Tabe Mikako. “They are both really beautiful. Their image is different; Kuroki is sexy while Tabe is very cute. To be chased around by these two beautiful police women makes me nervous. And I feel really honored to work with them.” He added, “I will be working as an actor, not the L in Infinite. I will show you a different side of me, and I hope people could see my new charm. Please show much love to the drama.”
