Lee Joon Gi's Character Is Struck With Grief In New "Criminal Minds" Stills

tvN released new stills from “Criminal Minds” that hint at Lee Joon Gi’s character’s sad past.

In tvN’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Criminal Minds,” Lee Joon Gi plays the role of Kim Hyun Joon, a field ranger for the criminal behavior analysis division of the National Criminal Information Agency (NCI). Kim Hyun Joon will be showcasing outstanding investigation skills and criminal profiling abilities in the drama.

The stills show Lee Joon Gi with a grief-stricken expression at a cemetery. The first image, which is an individual shot of Lee Joon Gi, gives away his sorrow from his desolate face. Another photo shows Lee Joon Gi holding up a picture frame and gazing at an unknown photo.

The last image shows Lee Joon Gi standing in the middle of a cemetery, staring blankly ahead with a bouquet in his hand. The photos suggest that Lee Joon Gi’s character Kim Hyun Joon experienced the loss of someone very dear to his heart.

Meanwhile, tvN’s “Criminal Minds” is a spinoff of the American hit series of the same name from ABC Studio. The cast of the upcoming drama includes Son Hyun Joo, Lee Joon Gi, Moon Chae Won, and more.

“Criminal Minds” will premiere on July 26 at 10:50 p.m. KST.
