MONSTA X's Agency Responds To Hyungwon's Dating Rumors

MONSTA X’s agency Starship Entertainment has responded to recent dating rumors surrounding member Hyungwon.

On August 4, the agency posted to MONSTA X’s fan cafe to first apologize for worrying fans.

“Hyungwon and the woman he had been dating broke up in early 2016, and have not met even once since that time,” Starship Entertainment stated. They then apologized for the disappointment of fans that had been caused by the woman’s recent post on social media, as well as the ensuing rumors that spread online.

“We can no longer simply watch as MONSTA X and fans are hurt and suffer due to the false rumors and malicious comments about Hyungwon online,” they stated.

Starship Entertainment promised to take strong legal action against those who post comments that spread false rumors and thus defame their artists’ reputations, and said they hope that posts that contain false accusations and rumors about MONSTA X will be voluntarily deleted.
