Wanna One's Kim Jae Hwan Shares Encouraging Advice After Achieving Dream Without An Agency
On August 7, Wanna One held a press conference for their debut mini-album “1×1=1(To be one)” at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
As the only trainee in “Produce 101 Season 2” to make it into the finalist group Wanna One without an agency, Kim Jae Hwan shared some insights into his experiences as well as motivating advice.
He stated, “I was desperate and experienced a lot of failure. But I also grew as well. By not giving up and consistently taking on challenges, something great happened.”
He added, “I hope everyone can see this and have hope. If they take on challenges, their dreams will definitely happen, and so I hope they will not give up and continue trying.”
On August 7, Wanna One’s first mini-album “1×1=1(To be one)” was released at 6 p.m. KST, and it is the first of their “arithmetic series.”
The album title represents an exciting start as it means You (1) and I (1) meet (x) to become one (=1). It also has the meaning that the 11 boys will race together to the top. The album consists of title track “Energetic” and has a total of seven tracks, including songs such as “Burn It Up” and “Wanna Be.”
