Jung Ryeo Won In Talks For Prosecutor Role In New KBS Drama

Jung Ryeo Won may be returning to the small screen for the first time in two years since “Bubblegum.”

A source from her agency Keyeast stated on August 18, “Jung Ryeo Won is looking over a role offer for KBS2’s new drama ‘Don’t Trust Her’ (tentative title).”

“Don’t Trust Her” was previously known as “Witch’s Court” and recently changed its title to its current one. If Jung Ryeo Won accepts the role offer, she will play public prosecutor Ma I Deum, who is part of the sex crimes task force. She has seven years of experience and has worked at four public prosecutors’ offices in the Seoul district. Her aggressive method of investigation lies on a fine line between legal and illegal investigation, but it is effective and has earned her a reputation as an ace prosecutor.

“Don’t Trust Her” was written by screenwriter Jung Do Yoon of “Baby-Faced Beauty” and will be directed by PD Kim Young Gyun of “Marry Me, Mary!” and “Spy Myung Wol.” It is slated to air in late-October after eight-part drama “Lingerie Girls’ Generation,” which is the follow-up to “School 2017.”

Meanwhile, Jung Ryeo Won has recently wrapped up filming for her new movie “Gate.”
