Contrary to what they stated previously, Kan Mi Yeon’s agency explained that the former Baby V.O.X member is not actually producing a girl group.

A source from the agency clarified, “The previous statement made it sound like Kan Mi Yeon was creating a girl group, but it’s not true. A close acquaintance of hers is launching the group, and Kan Mi Yeon’s just advising the members during their debut process.”

“She is currently focusing on her acting career,” they added.

First generation K-pop idol Kan Mi Yeon is producing a new girl group!

On September 8, a source from her agency stated, “Kan Mi Yeon will be launching a seven-member girl group called Hashtag. She participated in selecting the members, and they’re getting ready to debut next month.”

Kan Mi Yeon debuted back in 1997 as a Baby V.O.X member. Following the group’s disbandment, Kan Mi Yeon debuted as a solo artist in 2006.
