Couples That Will Make Your Heart Flutter With Their Romance This Fall

This fall is set to bring a packed lineup of new dramas ready to fill your screens with romance. Meet the five couples who will star as leads in this fall’s upcoming dramas.

1. Lee Jong Suk and Suzy in “While You Were Sleeping”

SBS’s “While You Were Sleeping” will tell the story of a woman who can foresee her dreams and a man who does everything he can to stop them from becoming reality, Lee Jong Suk and Suzy will showcase their chemistry in this upcoming mystery romance drama.

More than anything, viewers are anticipating the pairing of these two actors. Lee Jong Suk has made every one of his dramas a hit such as “I Hear Your Voice,” “Doctor Stranger,” “Pinocchio,” and “W.” Meanwhile, “the nation’s first love” Suzy has shown her acting through works such as the film “Architecture 101,” dramas “Gu Family Book” and “Uncontrollably Fond.”

The drama was pre-produced, has already wrapped filming, and is scheduled to air after “Into the New World.” The first episode will premiere on September 27 at 10 p.m. KST.

2. Han Ye Seul and Kim Ji Suk in “20th Century Boy and Girl”

A boy and a girl who grew up together since they were young, Han Ye Seul and Kim Ji Suk will tell the story of sincere friendship and awkward love between two friends of 35 years. Han Ye Seul will play the role of Sah Jin Jin, an idol-turned-actress, while Kim Ji Suk will play the role of Gong Ji Won, a financial analyst and investor.

Many viewers are looking forward to watching Han Ye Seul’s trademark loveliness in this romantic comedy, and see Kim Ji Suk continue his success from “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People.”

MBC’s “20th Century Boy and Girl” will air after “The King Loves” ends, and premiere its first episode on September 25 at 10 p.m. KST.

3. Seo Hyun Jin and Yang Se Jong in “Temperature of Love”

SBS will be releasing two different dramas filled with love this fall- Lee Jong Suk and Suzy’s romance on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Seo Hyun Jin and Yang Se Jong’s romance on Mondays and Tuesdays.

“Temperature of Love” will tell the story of a man and a woman who have bad timing at love. The two will try to find the optimal temperature of love while meeting, parting, and reuniting in this romantic drama.

Seo Hyun Jin, who was loved for her role in “Another Oh Hae Young” will showcase her talent once again in another melodrama. Many viewers are anticipating the romantic chemistry between the two actors who previously worked together on “Romantic Doctor Kim.”

“Temperature of Love” will air its first episode on September 18 at 10 p.m. KST.

4. Choi Siwon and Kang Sora in “Revolutionary Love”

“Revolutionary Love” (working title) will tell the story of Byun Hyuk (Choi Siwon), a third generation chaebol with zero survival skills who hides his true identity and crashes with Baek Joon (Kang Sora), a part-time job master in her one-room apartment.

Many fans are excited to see Choi Siwon star in this drama with Kang Sora, as this will be his first comeback project since returning from the military and second romantic comedy since “She Was Pretty.”

“Revolutionary Love” is a Saturday, Sunday drama that will air on October 14 at 9 p.m. KST.

5. Jung So Min and Lee Min Ki in “This Life Is Our First”

“This Life Is Our First” (working title) will tell the story of “homeless” Yoon Ji Ho (Jung So Min) and “home poor” Nam Se Hee (Lee Min Ki) who are forced to live under the same roof due to the rising housing costs. The drama will portray the stories of unmarried Koreans in their 30s with different values and life experiences.

Jung So Min, who recently showed viewers a romantic story with Lee Joon on “Father is Strange,” will showcase a more realistic romance with her new co-star Lee Min Ki.

“This Life Is Our First” is a Monday-Tuesday drama and will air its first episode on October 9 at 10:50 p.m. KST.
