JB Reveals What Inspired Him To Write GOT7's Upcoming Title Track "You Are"

GOT7 held their comeback showcase on October 9 and JB opened up about what inspired him to write the group’s upcoming title track “You Are.”

JB took time to explain the meaning behind the new song. He said, “The lyrics talk about how that person being in my life has become the reason for my existence. The words can be interpreted in a lot of different ways. It could be about us and our fans, us and our parents, or two people in a relationship.”

JB also revealed that the original title for the track was “Beautiful Sky” because the lyrics are about a person who hopes that their loved one will be the path that guides them, drawing parallels to the loved one and the comforting feeling one gets when looking up at the sky when one is tired and weary. He said, “I got a lot of inspiration from watching the movie ‘Your Name’ because it had a lot of scenes showing the beautiful sky.” Bam Bam chimed in that the title was then changed to “You Are” after getting feedback from Park Jin Young.

GOT7 will soon be making their first comeback as a group in seven months with their upcoming album “7 for 7.”
