BTS’s “DNA” MV Breaks Record For K-Pop Groups By Hitting 100 Million Views In Fastest Time
BTS’s “DNA” MV has now surpassed 100 million views on YouTube!
After its release on September 18 at 6 p.m. KST, “DNA” has broken records by becoming the fastest music video by a K-pop group to reach 10 million, 20 million, 30 million, 40 million, 50 million, 60 million, 70 million, 80 million, and 90 million views. It also gained the highest number of views in the first 24 hours among all K-pop group MVs.
“DNA” has gone on to hit 100 million views on October 12 at 7:24 p.m. KST, reaching the huge milestone in only 24 days and 1 hour.
The previous record for fastest K-pop group MV to reach 100 million views was set by BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last,” which did so in 46 days.
BTS’s own previous fastest time for an MV to reach 100 million views was 109 days on their “Not Today” MV from February of this year.
“DNA” is now BTS’s eighth music video to be viewed over 100 million times on YouTube! Their previous MVs to reach the milestone are “Dope,” “Fire,” “Blood, Sweat & Tears,” “Boy in Luv,” “Save Me,” “Not Today,” and “Spring Day.”
