"The Unit" Staff Praises Rain For His Efforts To Encourage And Connect With Contestants

“The Unit” is set to begin airing soon, and the show’s staff had nothing but words of praise for how much effort Rain puts into helping the contestants on the show.

On October 22, “The Unit” shared a photo of Rain posing for a photo with the male contestants during the filming of the music video for the group song “My Turn.” The staff stated that Rain played a big role in keeping the atmosphere light and happy  to put the nervous contestants at ease. He would be the charismatic mentor who didn’t miss a thing and gave helpful advice when cameras were rolling, but would also give the everyone kind words of comfort during breaks.

The staff added, “Rain would be the one to approach the contestants and he tried to help them relax. He’d share words of encouragement and relieve the tension from the room. Rain is currently forming strong connections with everyone, going beyond the normal mentor-contestant dynamics.”

Viewers will be able to see Rain be an encouraging but charismatic mentor in KBS’s idol rebooting project “The Unit,” which will begin airing on October 28 at 9:15 p.m. KST.
