Watch: U-KISS's Jun Talks About Joining The Team Late And Wows With His Performance On "The Unit"

U-KISS member Jun appeared on the premiere of KBS’s idol rebooting program “The Unit” in hopes of helping out his team.

U-KISS debuted in 2008 and achieved international popularity with hits such as “Am I That Easy.” The group has been continuously promoting for about 10 years now. However, as members started leaving the group, U-KISS also dropped in popularity.

Jun shared, “I joined the group halfway through their promotions. [I joined the team] in hopes of helping the members, but things didn’t turn out that way, so I decided to come on [‘The Unit’].”He continued, “A lot of people said things like, ‘Why did you join U-KISS when you could’ve had a fresh start?’ but I joined because I wanted to. I was thankful the members welcomed me. I thought about how to repay them, and I want to work hard so U-KISS can be well-known to the public.”

As soon as Jun stepped out onto the stage, Rain complimented his handsome appearance, and Jun introduced himself as the youngest and energizer of U-KISS. With his performance of Supreme Team’s “Dang Dang Dang,” he hyped up the mentors and the audience, which earned him the first Super Boot of the night. The Super Boot is when over 90 percent of the audience vote for the contestant so he or she can pass without the mentors’ approval.
