Yoon Hyun Min And Jung Ryeo Won Talk About Their Kiss Scene In "Witch's Court"
On October 30, actors from KBS2’s “Witch’s Court” spoke about a scene in the drama.
Actress Jung Ryeo Won plays the role of ruthless prosecutor Ma Yi Deum, who became a prosecutor to find her mom who has been missing for 20 years. She works in the Department of Crimes Against Children And Women alongside actor Yoon Hyun Min who plays the role of Yeo Jin Wook. He is psychiatrist-turned-prosecutor who is meticulous and kind.
In episode six, viewers were treated to a surprise kiss scene between the two leads. Jung Ryeo Won said, “We were surprised when we saw the kiss scene in the script. It felt sudden to us, so we wondered if the viewers would be shocked and were worried if it might stand out too much.”
The actress continued, “I talked a lot with the director and writer. There was no criteria [for the kiss scene], so we decided to do one where Ma Yi Deum jumps the gun [about Yeo Jin Wook’s feelings]. I think the reactions were good. Usually, it’s male characters who drunkenly do something and forget about it the next day, so it was fun that a woman could be so shameless.”
Yoon Hyun Min commented, “I felt embarrassed when I was kissed, then sad when I saw she was drunk. But I think the scene came out fun.”
“Witch’s Court” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. KST. Watch the latest episode now!
