Son Tae Young Talks About Her Realistic Marriage Life With Kwon Sang Woo
Actress Son Tae Young appeared as the special guest of the October 29 broadcast of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling.”
On the show, she answered questions about her life as a mother of two sons and wife of actor Kwon Sang Woo. MC Shin Dong Yup praised Kwon Sang Woo for becoming a devoted husband and homebody after getting married.
Son Tae Young commented, “In the beginning, I really liked that he was home a lot. But now that we’ve been married for 10 years, I tell him it’s okay to eat out and also tell him to work a lot in China.” She also shared that Kwon Sang Woo helps out more after the birth of their second child.
When asked if they fight, Son Tae Young responded, “We don’t fight often. I think we have big fights every two years.” She shared a story behind one of their big fights when she returned home from an overseas photo shoot. She had messaged her husband saying she was feeling sick before returning, but Kwon Sang Woo had planned an overnight golf trip with his friends.
Son Tae Young continued, “I didn’t respond to any of his text messages, so he asked if he should stop by home and leave again. Now that I’m old, I realize that being handsome isn’t that important. I want a husband who can help me out a lot.”
She also talked about how although she likes to talk things out after a fight, Kwon Sang Woo stays silent or says “I love you” to end their fights.
The actress and actor have two sons. She revealed that her oldest son is proud of his dad when he sees fans asking him for autographs. Son Tae Young added, “My son looks at him proudly like a mom looking at her son. Kwon Sang Woo is also happy that our son is proud of him.”
