Super Junior Talks About New Track "Black Suit" And Dancing In Their 30s
On November 6, Super Junior held a press conference at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in the city of Gangnam to discuss their new album “PLAY.”
During the press conference, the members discussed “Black Suit,” their new title track. Kim Heechul described it as, “Music that Super Junior has always been doing.” He explained, “It’s a ballad with fall emotions that Donghae made. On the other hand, we are a dance group, so it’s also a dance song, just like we’ve been doing ever since our first album.”
Donghae also added, “It’s a cool song,” and Yesung said, “Personally, I think it’s a classy song. I think it’s slightly different from previous Super Junior songs. I think it’s a good enough song that will make you dance when you listen to it.”
Regarding the performance of “Black Suit,” Eunhyuk stated, “Many people are worried that [the dance] would be tiring [for us] since we are in our thirties, but contrary to their concern, it’s not tiring at all, and we prepared [a choreography] that exactly suit Super Junior’s style. We hope you’ll watch our performance.”
Super Junior’s new album “Play” is full of unique, delightful songs that stand out. Their title track “Black Suit” is a carefree minor dance pop with a brass rhythm and restrained melody. Their lyrics that compare the confident figure of a man who is wearing a black suit to Lupin is also impressive.
Their new album will be released on November 6 at 6 p.m. KST.
