Super Junior's Leeteuk Opens Up About Promoting Without Choi Siwon
On November 6, Super Junior held a press conference to talk about their new eighth album “PLAY.”
Ahead of the Q&A, Super Junior leader Leeteuk said, “As you already know, Choi Siwon was unable to participate in this album’s promotions. We worked really hard preparing for this album, but he was unable to participate.”
When a reporter asked how the six members plan to fill Choi Siwon’s empty spot, Leeteuk answered, “I think ‘eventful’ is the right word to describe our 13 years of promotions. We never gave up and braved through whatever happened because we think another opportunity will come our way, so I think this was another opportunity for the six of us to get closer.”

Leeteuk continued, “We talked amongst ourselves about how despite the circumstances, we should never lose our biggest weapons: our liveliness and wit. We talked a lot about sending our energy to our fans who love us. Although we are missing one member during this promotion, we will work harder to fill that spot and are not too worried.”
Although Choi Siwon took part in the recording of the group’s album and their music video filming, he will not be participating in Super Junior’s broadcast promotions for this comeback.
