After the approval of the motion to dismiss MBC’s president Kim Jang Gyeom, the strike, which began on September 4, is preparing to wrap up.

Throughout the strike, MBC variety shows including “Infinite Challenge” and “Music Core” have not aired for 10 consecutive weeks.

A source from “Infinite Challenge” commented, “First of all, we are sorry and thankful to the viewers that have waited until now.”

The source continued, “The labor union’s official broadcast return date has to be decided, but after receiving the news, we are in discussion for our broadcast return and filming schedules,” and added that they will try their best to return quickly.

“Music Core” PD Choi Haeng Ho shared, “It seems that a regular live broadcast will be possible starting next week.”

He explained, “The motion to dismiss was approved today, and our last regular meeting will be held tomorrow. If we return to work on Wednesday, being practical, it is impossible to run a live broadcast after preparing for three days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as there is the risk of problems occurring. After taking this week to reorganize, I think that it will be possible to have a regular broadcast by next week.”
