5 Moments When Samuel Blew Our Freaking Minds With His Talent

Samuel – the charming, spunky, and talented 16 year old – is one of the youngest and freshest faces in the K-pop scene these days. Starting with “Seventeen TV” and recently thanks to “Produce 101 Season 2,” the K-pop world has had their eye on this skilled performer, and for good reason. Samuel is cute, charismatic, a great singer, and a stunning dancer. What’s not to love? But just in case you’re still not convinced, here are five moments when Samuel’s talent and charm blew us away!

1. “Never Say Never” cover

When Samuel was only nine, he covered Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” at the World Star Search talent competition. In the clip, everything from the dance to his vocals to the rap is pretty impressive for his young age. Plus, he’s got a constant smile on his face that shows how much he loves what he’s doing. This performance is just one of the many indicators of how talented Samuel is.

2. “Happiness” cover

Samuel was a fan favorite on “Seventeen TV” because of his cuteness and talent. Despite being the youngest of the group at age 11, Samuel kept up with the other members during every competition. It might be especially hard to keep your eyes off of him during this smile-inducing performance of H.O.T’s “Happiness.” (Hint: He’s the adorable little shorty with the hat.)

3. “Produce 101 Season 2” audition

Fans and contestants alike all anticipated Samuel’s audition on “Produce 101 Season 2.” And he did not disappoint. Covering Chris Brown’s “With You,” Samuel blew everyone’s minds with his incredible dance ability and stable live singing. It’s no wonder he became the first contestant of the season to earn an A-rank from the judges.

4. “Baby” and “Insomnia” cover

Because of his youth, charm, and undeniable talent, Samuel is able to pull off covers of some of the world’s most famous artists. Samuel recently showcased his versatility on “Fantastic Duo 2” through a cute, lively rendition of Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” followed by a powerful, confident performance of Craig David’s “Insomnia.”

5. “Candy” live stage

Samuel’s newest song “Candy” is a total bop that shows off his charms and talent through every live stage performance. Live is what Samuel does best because it’s obvious that the years of training and hard work have paid off. His dancing looks completely effortless and his live vocals truly earn him the title of a great performer.

Samuel’s talent and charms naturally extend beyond the stage. He’s also funny, quick-witted, and a little goofy, just like you’d expect a 16 year old to be. Check out his perfect (and hilarious) imitation of the chicken soup dish Samgyetang in this bonus clip.
