BTS Sets New Record As 1st K-Pop Group To Top U.S. iTunes Songs Chart With "MIC Drop" Remix
BTS is breaking records once again, this time with their new remix of “MIC Drop”!
On November 24 at 6 p.m. KST, BTS dropped their remix of “MIC Drop,” a track off their latest hit mini album “Love Yourself: Her.” The new remix was produced by Steve Aoki and features rapper Desiigner.
The group had previously become the highest-ranking K-pop group on the U.S. iTunes Top Songs chart with their track “DNA” in September, which charted at No. 4.
After quickly rising in the ranks, BTS’s “MIC Drop” remix has now taken the No. 1 spot on the U.S. iTunes Top Songs chart. BTS is now the first K-pop group to do so, and the second K-pop act following PSY.
This huge achievement comes after BTS’s recent U.S. TV debut performance at the American Music Awards.
“MIC Drop” has also taken No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts of many other countries around the world, while the “MIC Drop” remix music video has already surpassed 5.5 million views on YouTube.
Congratulations to BTS!
