TWICE And BTS Snag Spots In Billboard Japan's Year-End Rankings

Billboard Japan has released its year-end rankings for 2017, and TWICE and BTS have both claimed spots in the Top 20!

On the Top Artists list, TWICE came in at No. 3, managing to beat out popular Japanese groups such as AKB48 and Nogizaka46. The feat is particularly impressive considering that TWICE only made their Japanese debut less than six months ago.

The girl group also claimed No. 6 on Billboard Japan’s year-end Hot 100 chart with the song “TT,” which was released prior to their official Japanese debut.

BTS, meanwhile, took No. 20 on the Top Artists list. The group is currently enjoying strong sales for their newly released Japanese single album featuring the song “Crystal Snow.”

TWICE was recently confirmed to be the first Korean artist in six years to attend the historic Japanese year-end music show, NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle). BTS and TWICE will also be appearing on TV Asahi’s Music Station Super Live 2017, where they will be the only Korean artists to attend.

Congratulations to both TWICE and BTS!
