"Hyori's Homestay" Receives Extremely High Volume Of Guest Applications For 2nd Season

After the confirmation of the second season of “Hyori’s Homestay,” the homepage of the returning variety show was flooded with guest applications.

It hasn’t even been one day since the application section of the homepage opened, but 100,000 applications have already been submitted. The applicants range from couples and families to soldiers and people traveling alone.

“Hyori’s Homestay” is a popular show that aired from June to September 2017 that featured married couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon. They opened their home in Jeju Island to overnight guests, while IU worked there part-time.

In September, the show ended with highest real-time ratings, and ever since then, there had been continuous requests for a second season. During the fall season, the production crew had a deep ongoing discussion with Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang Soon. The married couple stated, “Because we are unable to forget the memories made with the guests, there is an element of discomfort after the show ends, but after much thought, we decided to do a second season.”

The second season will air sometime next year.
