DreamCatcher Members Open Up About Leaving "MIXNINE"

During an interview on December 13, DreamCatcher’s JiU, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami opened up about leaving JTBC’s “MIXNINE.”

It was previously announced that after discussion with the production staff, the four members would be departing the show due to conflicting schedules with the group’s tour in Brazil.

JiU stated, “It’s very regretful. I decided to go on the show to show different sides to myself, but we decided to leave the program due to conflicting schedules with our Brazil concerts.”

Yoohyeon expressed, “I got close with a lot of the contestants and was very passionate on the show. I learned a lot in regards to singing and dancing, and it was a great experience. It was a show that let me look back on myself. I got to be disappointed in myself, know my weaknesses, and grow even more.”

Dami commented, “I put my all into every performance. As we prepared for the competition, it wasn’t easy to create the choreography, stage concept, and wardrobe. I was thankful to those around me.” She also explained, “As we were doing the program, my confidence fell a lot because I was being compared to such talented people. However, everyone has their own unique charms and skills. I look forward to seeing [the other contestants] take care of themselves and show everything they’ve got.”

Siyeon shared, “We’re in a group of seven members, so I was happy that I was able to show a new side of myself as an individual. I was able to perform without regrets, and as we competed, my skills increased, too. It was fascinating to see how despite the fact that we’re not promoting right now, our fan cafe grew incredibly.” She also mentioned, “Our friend Woo Jin Young, who’s in the same agency as us, is still on the show so please give him your support.”

To conclude the interview, JiU stated, “[The show is a place where] a lot of pretty, charming, and hard-working people have gathered. I hope they stay in higher ranks and get good results.”
