"Bad Guys 2" Premieres With Promising Ratings

OCN’s newest Saturday drama “Bad Guys 2” premiered on December 16 to a strong start.

“Bad Guys 2” is an action drama that tells the story of a group of men who fight against the evils of society. It boasts of a stellar cast of movie actors including Park Joong Hoon, Joo Jin Mo, Yang Ik Joon, Kim Moo Yeol, and Ji Soo.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Bad Guys 2” recorded an average of 2.6 percent and a peak of 3.5 percent in viewership ratings. It also did well in its target audience of men and women ages 25 to 49, with an average rating of 2.4 percent and a peak of 3.1 percent.

“Bad Guys 2” was especially successful with men in their 40s, which recorded an average of 4.3 percent in this specific age group, the highest in OCN’s broadcasting history. The first episode showed the cast’s attempt to get closer to an evil cartel. The drama’s action scenes and suspenseful storyline presumably drew in its targeted audience.

“Bad Guys 2” airs on Saturdays at 10:20 p.m. KST.
