Jung So Min Talks About Dating And Which "Because This Is My First Life" Character Is Her Ideal Type

Actress Jung So Min, who starred in tvN’s “Because This Is My First Life,” recently shared her thoughts on love and marriage.

The star revealed that although she bears many similarities to her character in the drama, who relentlessly pursues her dreams no matter how painful the journey, they are quite different when it comes to relationships.

In the drama, the character of Yoon Ji Ho (played by Jung So Min) is shaken by the sudden appearance of Nam Se Hee’s first love but doesn’t speak to him about it. Jung So Min shared that she usually takes a very different approach to handling obstacles in her love life.

“When I date in real life, if there’s something that bothers me, I’m the type to talk it out through conversation,” said the actress. “I think everyone has a different way [of handling things].”

When asked about her views on marriage, Jung So Min remarked, “It continues to be the source of a lot of worries.” She went on to quote a line from the drama, saying, “There’s a line from ‘Because This Is My First Life’ that I remember: ‘Marriage should be between two adults.’ It made me think that I want to get married once I’m certain that I can take responsibility for someone else.”

She also divulged which character from the drama is closest to her ideal type in real life. After some consideration, she decided on Ma Sang Goo (played by Park Byung Eun).

Jung So Min explained, “My mother was an avid viewer of ‘Because This Is My First Life.’ One day, she asked me, ‘Isn’t someone like Ma Sang Goo a great guy?’ It was because of his line, ‘Although it hurts to be stabbed by your sharp spear, if stabbing me will dull that spear, I’ll be glad.’ I agreed with what she said.”

The actress recently revealed that she would like to see “Because This Is My First Life” return for a second season.
