Family, Friends, And Fans Say Their Final Goodbye To SHINee's Jonghyun
Family, friends, colleagues, and fans bid farewell to SHINee’s Jonghyun today as they accompanied his body to his final resting place.
Jonghyun passed away on December 18, and his fellow SHINee members – Onew, Minho, Key, and Taemin – took on the role of sang joo (literally translated as “chief mourners”) during his wake. They continued to be by his side today, along with Super Junior’s Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Donghae, carrying his coffin away from the hospital to his final resting place.
Members of Girls’ Generation, Red Velvet, Super Junior, and other SM artists were also there, grieving their friend and fellow artist.
Many fans also gathered to watch the funeral procession, paying their respects and showing their love for the artist that touched their lives with his music and kindness.
There has been continuous outpouring of grief since the singer’s death, but also messages of love and thanks as fans and friends mourned a life cut too short and remembered the gift of music that the artist left behind and the kindness he showed to everyone around him.
Rest in peace, Jonghyun. We will miss you and remember you for your passion, your talent, and your kind heart.
