NU'EST W To Release Their First-Ever OST For "Hwayugi"
NU’EST W will be participating in their first OST ever for the upcoming drama “Hwayugi,” with leader JR contributing lyrics for the song!
On December 21, NU’EST W was confirmed as the first artist for the OST of tvN’s new drama “Hwayugi.” The romantic fantasy drama, which is a reinterpretation of the classic novel “Journey to the West,” features a star-studded star cast that includes Lee Seung Gi, Cha Seung Won, Oh Yeon Seo, FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki, and SISTAR’s Bora, among others.
NU’EST W’s “Let Me Out,” the first song to be released for the drama, is reported to be a dynamic electro house track with a mysterious piano sound. The idols are said to have been a perfect fit for the song, with their strong vocals bringing out the dramatic, emotional quality of the melody.
The song will also feature rap lyrics written by JR, who previously composed lyrics for the group’s recent title track “Where You At.”
“Let Me Out,” NU’EST W’s first-ever contribution to an OST, will be released on December 23 at 6 p.m. KST. “Hwayugi” will air its premiere three hours later, at 9 p.m. KST.
