Oh Yeon Seo And Lee Seung Gi Have A Tense Christmas Date In "Hwayugi"

tvN’s new weekend drama “Hwayugi” is off to a great start and new stills tease more excitement and suspense to come in the second episode.

The new images show Son Oh Gong (Lee Seung Gi) and Jin Sun Mi (Oh Yeon Seo) spending Christmas together. Despite looking like a normal couple enjoying a date together, taking photos in front of a decorated Christmas tree, there is a tension running through the duo. Jin Sun Mi has a sad expression on her face while Son Oh Gong looks like slightly mischievous as he whispers something in her ear.

The production staff shared that this was the first time Son Oh Gong and Jin Sun Mi were spending time together after learning of each other’s true identities. They stated, “Lee Seung Gi and Oh Yeon Seo were not deterred by the chilly weather and their chemistry was so strong that they drew the attention and envy of all those around them, including the staff and passers-by. We hope viewers keep watching for the special relationship that will form between Son Oh Gong and Jin Sun Mi.”

“Hwayugi” aired its first episode on December 23 and kicked things off on a high with average viewership ratings of 5.3 percent and peaking at 6.3 percent, the highest statistics for a cable channel in its time slot. The drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST.
