BIGBANG Promises To Return As 5 Members As They Wrap Up Japanese Dome Tour
The four members of BIGBANG who are currently on tour wrapped up their “BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2017 – LAST DANCE-” tour with a promise to return as five members with TOP.
The last leg of the dome tour was held at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome, which is a meaningful location for BIGBANG because it is also where they held their first dome performance on November 23, 2012. For four days from December 21 to 24, Taeyang, G-Dragon, Daesung, and Seungri performed for 50,000 fans every day.
As the concert drew to an end on December 24, the members opened up about this being their last Japanese concert in a while as G-Dragon and Taeyang are set to enlist in the first half of 2018.
G-Dragon said, “We really wanted to see you guys here. We’ve been so happy and enjoyed seeing you all throughout this tour. Like how spring comes after winter, we will meet again in the future, so stay healthy and don’t be sad till then.” He continued to add, “The five members of BIGBANG always hope for your happiness. Because that’s the source of our energy. If we continue to live our lives while waiting for the day we’re reunited, that day will come soon. Because our love will never change. Thank you so much. We will return as five.”
Taeyang stated, “I’m very sad that after this tour, we won’t have many opportunities to see you all. Please wait for us till we return to stand in front of you again. Thank you so, so much. The time we spent together and the songs we sung with you will remain with us [the members] forever.” Seungri also stated, “Thank you so much. See you again,” while Daesung stated, “I can’t wait for our second act to begin.”
Following the concerts, Taeyang shared a collection of photos on his personal Instagram account, including collages of the five members across BIGBANG’s various Japanese performances throughout the years. There were also photos and videos of the special event at their last dome concert, in which fans used LED bracelets to spell out “BIGBANG IS VIP.”
