3 Things To Know Before Watching The 1st Episode Of "Master In The House"

SBS’ new variety show “Master in the House,” starring singer and actor Lee Seung Gi, actor Lee Sang Yoon, BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, and comedian Yang Se Hyung, will premiere on December 31 at 6:25 p.m. KST.

The show is the first variety show that Lee Seung Gi will be appearing in since being discharged from the army. The program follows the experience of the four cast members as they visit and adapt to the lifestyle of an eccentric teacher called ‘master.’

Here are the three key points to keep in mind before you enjoy the show!

1. The Youthful Four

The never-before-seen chemistry of the four cast members is one worth looking forward to.

From all-round entertainer Lee Seung Gi, first-time variety show participant Lee Sang Yoon, boy group member Yook Sungjae nicknamed “Yook Sungjae handsome psycho,” to popular comedian Yang Se Hyung, it is impossible to predict what kind of episodes the four will have in store.

The production team shared, “The four members each have completely different personalities.” They explained, “The bromance between Lee Seung Gi, who escaped the position of youngest member for the first time in 10 years, and new youngest member Yook Sungjae is another thing to look out for.”

The team continued, “Another fun element is how variety show professional Yang Se Hyung scolds honest yet odd ‘Variety show newbie’ Lee Sang Yoon. Please look forward to the chemistry of the four cast members.”

2. The Youthful Four’s Worries in Life

In the first episode, before the members meet their master, the viewers follow the day-to-day life of the four members and discover what they are worried about in life.

The production team explained, “Even though the four don’t seem like the types to have any concerns, they all have a lingering question from each of their perspectives.”

The staff continued, “Through ‘Master in the House,’ the members will experience the lifestyle of the master, who has a radically different lifestyle from their own. We will follow how the Youthful Four will learn their own answers to their questions throughout the show.”

3. Who is the Youthful Four’s Master?

So who will be the first master to live with the Youthful Four? In the teaser video, the members were seen bowing deeply with respect after meeting their master.

The production team shared, “The first encounter between the master and Youthful Four will be revealed through the first episode. Please look forward to it!”

“Master in the House” is also receiving recommendations from viewers to find the Youthful Four’s next master. Regardless of age, job, gender, and nationality, if the person has one strong specialty, then he or she can become the next master to educate the Youthful Four.
