"Along With The Gods" Surpasses 10 Million Moviegoers In Impressive Time
Movie “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” has surpassed 10 million moviegoers, becoming the first movie of the year to reach this impressive feat.
The movie’s distributor Lotte Entertainment revealed that on January 4, “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” exceeded 10 million moviegoers, just 16 days since its release. This means it is the second fastest Korean movie to reach this milestone right behind “The Admiral: Roaring Currents,” the current record-holder of most moviegoers of all time for a Korean movie.
As a result, “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” has joined the 10 million moviegoers club, becoming the 16th Korean movie overall and 20th film released domestically to do so. Additionally, the movie’s director, Kim Yong Hwa, has surpassed his personal record of 8 million moviegoers with the movie “Take Off,” and “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” has become Lotte Entertainment’s first movie to reach 10 million moviegoers.
The star-studded cast of “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” shared photos celebrating surpassing 10 million moviegoers. The cast members smile widely as they thank viewers for showing their movie lots of love with handwritten messages.
Director Kim Yong Hwa also commented, “I’m thankful and surprised every day. There are no sufficient words to express my feelings other than thank you. I am most happy to have been able to connect with many audience members. I will work hard to create the second part and show a movie that meets expectations. I hope you are able to feel warmth through the movie in this cold weather.”
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds”!
