"Hyori's Homestay" Producer Reveals How He Got Park Bo Gum To Join The Show
The chief producer of “Hyori’s Homestay” has revealed how he managed to cast Park Bo Gum!
The actor was recently confirmed to be appearing on the second season of the JTBC reality show, which follows Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon as they temporarily open their Jeju Island home to non-celebrity houseguests.
Yoon Hyun Joon, the chief producer (CP) of the show, talked about the process of casting Park Bo Gum in a recent interview. “We asked him to appear because, out of all the celebrities out there, many viewers expressed the opinion that they wanted to see him as an employee in ‘Hyori’s Homestay 2,'” he remarked.
“Because Park Bo Gum is one of the top Hallyu stars representing our nation, it wasn’t easy to cast him,” he went on. “Luckily, though, he said that he had always been a fan of Lee Hyori’s. So he happily agreed to appear, and he promised that he would work hard to help out at [the bed and breakfast].”
Park Bo Gum will be joining Girls’ Generation member YoonA as a part-time employee at the married couple’s home. However, unlike YoonA, he will only be staying for three days.
Yoon Hyun Joon explained, “We ended up casting him as a short-term employee because, unlike in Season 1, the filming will be taking place during winter. There is a lot more work to be done during the winter season as opposed to summer.”
Filming for “Hyori’s Homestay 2” began on January 8, with the show expected to air sometime in the first half of the year.
