Kwak Dong Yeon Looks Radiant In "Radio Romance" Previews And Shares Ratings Promise
“Radio Romance” has shared new photos that give us a first glimpse of Kwak Dong Yeon’s transformation into a dashing doctor!
KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Radio Romance” features top star Ji Su Ho (played by Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon) taking on the role of a radio DJ. Kwak Dong Yeon (who is well known for his role in the KBS 2016 hit “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds“) plays a handsome psychiatrist named Jason, a high school friend of Ji Su Ho who sticks to him like glue.
Kwak Dong Yeon, who enjoys listening to the radio and is even sometimes a special DJ himself, talked about why he decided to take on the role. He said, “I was excited by the story in which many people communicate through the medium of radio. I was also charmed by the fact that Jason has both a very cheerful and upbeat side to him while also being level-headed as a doctor.”
Kwak Dong Yeon said, “He spent over 20 years just studying without knowing anything, and his life changed when he went to America for medical school.”
In the newly released stills, Kwak Dong Yeon doesn’t give off the look that one might expect from a doctor, considering the way he is dressed. In addition to getting help from stylists to perfect the eye-catching fashion that his character loves, Kwak Dong Yeon has been studying the manner of psychiatrists when they deal with patients so that he can portray his doctor character.
When asked if Kwak Dong Yeon has a ratings promise for “Radio Romance,” he replied, “Like during ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,’ I hope it does well. If it does, I’m going to clean a radio station with Yoon Park.”
Kwak Dong Yeon wrapped up by saying that he thinks the most fun part of “Radio Romance” is the chemistry between all of the diverse characters. “Please show a lot of love for ‘Radio Romance’ and Jason,” he said.
“Radio Romance” stars Yoon Doojoon, Kim So Hyun, Yoon Park, Girl’s Day’s Yura, Kwak Dong Yeon, and more, and will premiere on KBS 2TV on January 29.
