f(x)'s Krystal Discusses Possibilities Of Solo Album And Other Future Plans

f(x)’s Krystal recently sat down for an interview to talk about her future plans both as an actress and a singer.

Kystral shared that working as an actress was different from working as a singer. When she’s a member of f(x), she usually works with other members. “When I go to the broadcasting station, I stay in the waiting room and there’s no communication [with other people]. There aren’t many opportunities to meet new people,” she explained. “When it comes to acting, I go out alone and collaborate with people I don’t know. There’s a certain freshness that comes from that.”

She went on to say that when she was younger, she used to be afraid of meeting and working with new people. Now, she finds it fun. “There were times when I found it difficult to meet new people,” Krystal said. “But as I met more people, I naturally changed with their influence.”

When asked about her future plans, Kystral replied that nothing was fixed. Both acting and singing were open options for her. Working as a solo singer was also an option, according to Krystal. “I’ve been thinking about it since two years ago,” she said. “Nothing worked out, including the timing. There wasn’t a song that I liked as I listened to it. Of course, I am still willing to release [a solo album] someday. I want to prepare well and go with something I like. I want to return with good music regardless of the genre.”

Krystal went on to share her passion for music. She said, “I like music. I don’t want to let it slip. The other members of f(x) also have a strong affection for the group. The music that we’d been doing was different from the pre-existing music. We have pride and a strong affection for it. We want to find the [right] song quickly.”

Making her debut as a member of girl group f(x), Krystal recently starred in tvN’s “Prison Playbook” which came to an end on January 18.
