BIGBANG's Seungri Reveals Why Taeyang Wanted Him To Sing At His Wedding

BIGBANG’s Seungri guested on the February 3 episode of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything” with iKON.

During the episode, Seungri shared a special behind-the-scenes story from Taeyang’s wedding. He stated, “While preparing for his marriage, Taeyang asked me to fulfill a sincere wish he has.”

He then revealed Taeyang wanted him to sing a congratulatory song at his wedding. Seungri remarked, “To be honest, my part in BIGBANG songs is limited to a certain extent. So when Taeyang asked me to sing a song, I asked him, ‘There’s a lot of other singers who sing well, so why me?'”

Seungri continued on, “When I said that, Taeyang replied, ‘I want to see my dongsaeng sing while giving it his all one last time before I get married.'” He added, “I’m singing ‘Strong Baby.’ Within YG, I’ve sung congratulatory songs the most. I sang at all [the weddings of] the YG finance team, accounting team, and legal team!”
