SBS Issues Statement Regarding Go Hyun Jung's Character In 'Return' And Rumored Ban From Future Dramas

Following Go Hyun Jung’s departure from “Return,” many are wondering what will happen to her character in the drama.

On February 8, SBS issued an official statement, saying, “We are currently discussing what follow-up measures to take. The production staff of ‘Return’ is apologetic to viewers for the recent issue surrounding the departure of our lead actress.

“The staff tried their best to talk things out patiently, but they ultimately ended up in this unfortunate situation. In order to deliver the original message of the drama, the staff is trying to come up with the best decision regarding the character Choi Ja Hye and whether they will look for another actor. We will let you know once we settle on a decision. From here on out, we will try our best to meet viewers’ expectations for the drama.

“We would like to apologize to viewers once again. Please continue to give the drama lots of love.”

In response to rumors saying that Go Hyun Jung might be banned from appearing in future dramas on SBS, the broadcasting station denied the reports, saying, “Go Hyun Jung left the drama due to a conflict with the production staff, so banning her from our dramas isn’t something we should consider.”

Earlier today, a source from Go Hyun Jung’s agency denied allegations that the actress had physically assaulted the producing director of “Return.”
