IU Gets Serious For Her Role In "My Ahjussi"

Upcoming tvN drama “My Ahjussi” has revealed their first stills of their main lead Lee Ji Eun (IU).

In the stills, IU sits in an ordinary cubicle, dressed in dark clothes. What stands out the most is the fact that she is mysteriously wearing sunglasses indoors in another still. Befitting her cold, tough character, her face is completely expressionless.

“My Ahjussi” is about three middle-aged brothers (Lee Sun Gyun, Oh Dal Soo, Song Sae Byuk) who meet Lee Ji An (Lee Ji Eun) who has lived a tough life, and how their wounds are healed.

The production staff stated, “The person who has made the most extreme transformation as an actor is Lee Ji Eun. Lee Ji An is a woman who has endured harsh realities with a tough mindset, and Lee Ji Eun embodied the character perfectly.”

“My Ahjussi” will air after “Mother” on March 21 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
