Sunmi Explains Why She Doesn't Want To Be Called Trendy

Sunmi recently graced the cover of the March issue of Dazed Korea Magazine.

In the accompanying interview for her pictorial, Sunmi remarked, “I don’t like being called ‘hot’ [meaning ‘the current trend’], because I know that my current popularity will eventually disappear at some time or other. Even if something new comes out, people get tired of it quickly. The cycle [of popularity] is getting shorter.”

She continued, “I don’t want to live my life as part of the rat race. I want to become someone from whom people expect improvement, who makes people look forward to seeing better things.”

The singer posed for the cover and pictorial in outfits from the Burberry capsule collection that was released in February.
