Super Junior's Leeteuk Says He Hopes For Reunion Performance With All 13 Members

In a recent interview, Super Junior members Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Donghae gave an update on their lives and talked about promoting with only six members recently.

When asked what they have been up to lately, Eunhyuk answered that they have been preparing for Super Junior’s repackaged album and even filmed a music video for it recently. He also said that he and Donghae have been going back and forth from Japan due to Super Junior D&E promotions.

As for Donghae, he said, “I haven’t been appearing in many variety shows, but I’m waiting for the opportunity to appear with my members. I’m currently promoting Super Junior D&E with Eunhyuk right now, but this year, I’ll be promoting both with Super Junior as a whole and Super Junior D&E.”

On the other hand, leader Leeteuk has been busy with variety shows, such as EBS’s “The Best Recipes” and Mnet’s “I Can See Your Voice Season 5.”

Super Junior consists of 11 members (Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, Yesung, Kangin, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Choi Siwon, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Shindong, and Sungmin), but they recently promoted as a six-member group. Eunhyuk joked about that, “There are less mouths, but the amount of talking is the same. When the members are together, it’s always noisy.”

Leeteuk also reminisced about when they used to promote with 13 members (including former members Han Geng and Kibum).

He said, “In front of the TV at home, there is a photo of the 13 of us. Recently, I watched the H.O.T. reunion episode on ‘Infinite Challenge‘ and that photo kept catching my eye. I got a feeling of anticipation that the 13 of us will be able to stand on stage together one day. We performed with 13 members until ‘Sorry Sorry’ in 2009.”

They were asked when was the last time the 11 of them were all together, and Leeteuk replied, “From what I remember, we all gathered at a Chinese restaurant to eat black bean noodles before I went into the military. That was 2012.”

Eunhyuk commented, “The members who are in the military keep changing, so it’s difficult to arrange time to meet together.” Leeteuk admitted, “I think it will feel strange if the 11 of us gather together. I feel moved just thinking about being crowded together after a long time. I will be happy when that time comes.”

When it was pointed out that there are many fans waiting for the 11 of them to reunite, Leeteuk said, “Our biggest strength is that we have many members, so it’s too bad we’re only promoting with six members right now. I’m anticipating that the 11 of us will be able to be on stage together after Kyuhyun discharges from the army in May of 2019.”

Eunhyuk stated, “I think it will be sometime next year that the 11 of us will be able to gather together both privately and publicly. I look forward to it.”

Super Junior are currently preparing for an April comeback with a repackaged album for “Play” that was released in November 2017.
