Red Velvet, Seohyun, Baek Ji Young, And More To Perform At Concert In North Korea
Various artists are traveling to North Korea for a special performance.
On March 20, the lineup and dates were finalized for a concert in Pyongyang, North Korea.
A group of 160 artists from South Korea will be participating. The lineup includes Cho Yong Pil, Lee Sun Hee, Yoon Do Hyun, Baek Ji Young, Jung In, Ali, Red Velvet, and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun. They will be directed by singer and producer Yoon Sang.
Red Velvet is the first girl group to perform in North Korea since Baby VOX in 2003. They commented on their participation, “We are honored and happy to attend a meaningful event. As it is our first time performing in Pyongyang, we are looking forward to it. We will prepare well to showcase great performances.”
The concert will be held for four days from March 31 through April 3 at East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and Pyongyang Arena. Ahead of the event, staff from South Korea will visit Pyongyang from March 22 through 24 to assess the situation for stage props, equipment, and more.
