BTS's 'DNA' Becomes 1st K-Pop Group MV To Reach 350 Million Views

BTS has made history once again!

The group’s music video for their hit track “DNA” has now reached 350 million views on YouTube, as of April 25 KST. The MV achieved this milestone just over seven months since its release on September 18 of 2017.

“DNA” is the first MV by a K-pop group to reach 350 million views on YouTube. It recently surpassed BIGBANG’s “Fantastic Baby” to become the most-viewed MV by a K-pop group, with “Fantastic Baby” now at 348.2 million views.

The next K-pop group MV on the list of most views is TWICE’s “TT,” which has been watched 347.5 million times. Other K-pop group videos that have surpassed 300 million views include BTS’s “Fire,” BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG,” and BLACKPINK’s “BOOMBAYAH.” Meanwhile, PSY has the most views for a Korean solo artist with over 3 billion on “Gangnam Style.”

“DNA” is off BTS’s most recent mini album “Love Yourself: Her,” and it became BTS’s first song to enter Billboard’s Hot 100 chart (which ranks the most popular tracks in the United States), spending four weeks on the chart. The music video for “DNA” also won the Best Music Video award at the 2017 Melon Music Awards.

The “DNA” MV holds the record for a K-pop group MV with the highest number of views in the first 24 hours and the fastest time to reach every milestone all the way up to 350 million views. The music video for “DNA” also has reached over 5 million likes.
