Jung Hae In Says He's Never Been Happier On Set Than When Filming With Son Ye Jin For "Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food"
On-screen lovers Jung Hae In and Son Ye Jin have opened up about their experience working together on the hit drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.”
At a press conference on April 26, the two co-stars talked about the JTBC romance and shared their regrets that the show was already coming to an end. Actress Son Ye Jin remarked, “This is the first time I’ve felt disappointed that a drama was ending.”
She continued, “Each and every day of filming is a happy one. As an actor, it’s a blessing and a joy to be able to enjoy this kind of experience.”
Jung Hae In similarly commented, “I’ve been filming happily and joyfully, and I’m grateful each and every day. This is the first production that has made me realize, ‘Wow, I can be this happy while filming.’ It’s also the first time that I’ve watched a drama from the audience’s point of view.”
The actors also shared that they had grown closer over the course of filming the drama. Son Ye Jin recalled, “At first, things were awkward, but now we’ve become closer and more comfortable with one another.” Jung Hae In agreed, “It’s true that at the very beginning, we were awkward when acting out [our characters’] romance. In my opinion, that awkwardness actually helped us to better portray the relationship between our two characters in the drama.”
He added, “Now, because Ye Jin takes good care of me and helps me feel comfortable, I’m enjoying filming. Our teamwork is so good that I even feel comfortable throwing out ad libs.”
Referring to her co-star Jung Hae In’s skyrocketing popularity, Son Ye Jin said with a smile, “I’m currently the envy of many women. This is the first time I’ve received such a passionate reaction [to my chemistry with a co-star]. I’m happy to have become an object of envy thanks to Jung Hae In.”
“Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” tells the story of a couple falling in love after having known each other since childhood. The drama airs on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 p.m. KST.
