7 'Quick Burn' K-Dramas To Watch When You Want That Romance To Start ASAP

One of the best parts about watching K-dramas is being able to see the two main leads fall desperately in love with each other. We can never get enough of it, even though we know it’s going to happen. It’s especially exciting when it happens in the first or second episode as we’re able to be introduced to the lovey dovey romance that gets us sucked into the series!

Here’s a look at seven K-dramas that are quick to introduce the romance between the two main leads.

1. A Witch’s Romance

“A Witch’s Romance,” starring Park Seo Joon as Yoon Dong Ha and Uhm Jung Hwa as Ban Ji Yeon, has a romance that develops fairly quickly, which is one of the reasons why it’s easy to get sucked into this series. By episode two, the main couple is already well on their way of having an intimate relationship. The chemistry between the two characters despite their age gap is totally entertaining to watch. Although the two of them retract after their hot night together, their developing romance throughout the series is seriously adorable.

Yes, this is how quickly their romance blossoms:

2. Degree of Love

“Degree of Love” stars successful rookie actor Yang Se Jong as chef On Jeong Sun and Seo Hyun Jin as drama writer Lee Hyeon Soo. This K-drama also involves an older woman and younger man romance. The charming and adorable Jeong Sun is quick to realize his feelings for the endearing Hyeon Soo and even confesses his feelings to her within the first two episodes. Talk about moving fast!

3. My Secret Romance

“My Secret Romance” was OCN’s first stab at a romantic comedy and we were all pretty excited about it. The steamy script and storyline seemed to hint at a fast-paced romance, which we were totally down for! It’s a pleasant surprise to see the two main leads, Cha Jin Wook (Sung Hoon) and Lee Yoo Mi (Former Secret member Song Ji Eun), be quick to “fall in love” within the first two episodes. The two share a special night together and are not able to shake each other even after being apart for three years.

4. Fated to Love You

“Fated To Love You” follows the bittersweet love story between Lee Gun, played by Jang Hyuk, and Kim Mi Young, played by Jang Nara. Their romance is sparked by a moment of passion within the first couple episodes, and although it’s a delight to see, their romance comes to a sudden standstill as the two sort their feelings out for each other. It’s a journey that is definitely worth the watch and you can’t help but root for a happy ending between the two.

5. Kill Me, Heal Me

This romance is unconventional, but worth the mention. Ji Sung stars as Cha Do Hyun, a character who suffers from multiple-personality disorder as a result of a tragic event that happened when he was younger. Although Cha Do Hyun isn’t the one to quickly realize his feelings for the female lead, one of the personalities is bad boy Shin Se Ge who ends up falling in love at first sight with Oh Ri Jin (Hwang Jung Eum). It’s a particularly special relationship as Shin Se Ge only shows up through Cha Do Hyun momentarily, but when he does, it’s especially adorable to see how much he adores Oh Ri Jin.

6. Romantic Doctor Kim

Another Seo Hyun Jin drama – “Romantic Doctor Kim” also involved a fast-paced romance between the two main leads. Yoo Yeon Seok stars as the romantic Kang Dong Joo and Seo Hyun Jin plays a skilled surgeon named Yoon Seo Jung. Their very passionate and epic first kiss scene comes early on in the series (within the first two episodes) and it leaves viewers with a longing for the two to be together. However, as a result of a tragic event, the two are left with nothing but lingering feelings for each other as they work side by side.

7. I Need Romance 1 and 2

Kim Jung Hoon and Jo Yeo Jeong star in the first “I Need Romance”

Technically, the romance doesn’t really develop quickly in these two series as the romance is already there from the beginning. “I Need Romance” and ” I Need Romance 2″ both follow the relationship between a couple that dates, breaks up, and finds their way back together. These two shows are easy to get sucked into mainly because of the cast and how much chemistry they share from the get go. You’ll be dying to find out what happens to the main leads at the end of each series!
