Pledis Entertainment Clarifies Future Of Orange Caramel After Lizzy's Graduation
Pledis Entertainment has addressed what Lizzy’s graduation means for the After School sub-unit Orange Caramel.
On May 1, the idol announced that she would be leaving After School and Pledis Entertainment through a handwritten letter. The agency confirmed her departure, explaining their exclusive contract with her had officially expired on April 30, 2018.
With Lizzy’s graduation, After School is now a four-member group consisting of Raina, Nana, E-Young, and Ga Eun, with the subunits she was in — Orange Caramel and After School Blue — presumably defunct.
However, on May 2, Pledis Entertainment clarified to media outlet OSEN that the possibility of Orange Caramel promoting again still exists.
A source from the agency explained, “The members are currently pursuing different fields in accordance with their wishes, but Orange Caramel has not been officially disbanded. If a good opportunity presents itself later on and they were to release an album, we will not hold back from actively giving our support.”
