Ha Ji Won To Become A Fixed Member Of Variety Show For Very First Time

Ha Ji Won will be joining gugudan’s Kim Sejeong on Kim Byung Man’s upcoming variety show “Galileo: Awakened Universe” (literal translation)!

“Galileo: Awakened Universe” is a new sci-fi variety program by tvN that explores the idea of life on Mars. Led by Kim Byung Man and produced by Lee Young Joon, “Galileo: Awakened Universe” will deal with the facts, not fiction, regarding Mars, which has experienced growing interest thanks to movies like “Interstellar,” “Gravity,” “The Martian,” and more.

“Galileo: Awakened Universe” will take place at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah, where the desert conditions are similar to those on Mars. Ha Ji Won will be joining Kim Byung Man in studying survival on Mars through exploration of the planet and scientific experiments. The cast will also experience life as an inhabitant of Mars for a week. Ha Ji Won’s casting in “Galileo: Awakened Universe” is being met with great interest as it marks the first time the actress will be a fixed member of a variety show in her career.

Ha Ji Won’s agency Sun and Moon Entertainment shared, “As she enjoys observing the stars through a telescope, Ha Ji Won has great interest in space and decided to appear as a fixed member on the program after carefully considering the offer. Through the program, Ha Ji Won will show a new side to viewers as she indirectly experiences life on Mars, which was previously a ‘strange unknown world’ to her.” They added, “We ask for a lot of interest in Ha Ji Won’s genuine challenge of joining this new ‘space variety’ program.”

“Galileo: Awakened Universe” will begin filming in the U.S. in June and is scheduled to air in mid-July.
