BTS Continues Their Record Streak As 'Fake Love' MV Hits 30 Million Views

BTS’s new music video “Fake Love” has already achieved another milestone!

“Fake Love” is the title track off BTS’s third full album “Love Yourself: Tear,” and both the album and music video were released on May 18 at 6 p.m. KST. The MV hit 10 million views 4 hours and 56 minutes after its release, and 20 million views 8 hours and 56 minutes after its release.

As of 10:39 a.m. KST on May 19, “Fake Love” has surpassed 30 million views, achieving the milestone in approximately 16 hours and 39 minutes after its release. BTS had previously set the record as the fastest K-pop group to reach 30 million views on YouTube with “DNA” (less than 46 hours) and has now broken that record again with “Fake Love.”

The record set by “Fake Love” may be the fastest time to 30 million views for any artist’s MV on YouTube, though there are a lack of official sources to confirm this.

Many fans remain interested in how many views “Fake Love” can rack up in the 24 hours after its release. “DNA” holds the record for K-pop group MVs (21 million views), while the highest number of views by any MV in the first 24 hours is Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” (43.2 million views).

Celebrate the milestone by watching the music video below!
